There’s a few hectares of farmland hidden behind a rickety old wooden gate a couple of kilometers east of Fitzroy Falls, in the Southern Highlands, that’s a pretty special place. It’s called Moonacres Farm. The owner, and all the people who work the land there have one thing in common; they love all things natural. They allow the soil and climate to give the produce its authenticity with as little intervention as possible. It’s not that they don’t work hard – they do. But for them it’s not about being hands on, it’s about knowing when to keep their hands off.
Moonacres Farm is an organically certified farm at Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands of NSW and has been producing and selling the best and freshest produce available in Sydney since 2006.
Great produce can’t be manufactured. “It needs to be connected to families who are connected to their land and to working their land and who are content to let the land speak in its own voice.”
- Terry Theise (Reading between the wines)
